Description

In Person: Interested in your family's history? Already done extensive research and want to be able to share your finds? Join our genealogy club where both novices and experts alike can come together and talk about different genealogy topics.

March's Topic: Finding Female Ancestors - In honor of Women’s History Month, this Genealogy Group session will focus on researching female ancestors. We’ll explore strategies for uncovering women’s identities across records, including name changes, migration through marriage, and locating women in sources where they are frequently hidden.

This program will highlight the library’s resource, The Hidden Half of the Family: A Sourcebook for Women’s Genealogy, and introduce practical research approaches that participants can apply immediately to their own family lines. Discussion and research time will follow. Drop-ins welcome.
