The Friends of Samuels Library host a special program with Larry Broadwell, Potomac Appalachian Trail Club's Guidebook Project Leader. Interested in tracing Civil War events on foot? The writer of "The Hiker's Guide to Civil War Trails in the Mid-Atlantic Region" will show slides on a selection of nearby routes that offer good scenery and touch pivotal points in the war.
