Committee devoted to the mission and vision of the Warren County-Front Royal Appalachian Trail Community designated in 2012 by the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. Our goals include educating the community, businesses and local government agencies/agents about the Appalachian Trail, it's history and importance as a local resource and asset to protect, maintain and preserve for future generations. We work with local law enforcement with information and training necessary for officers to access the trail during emergency situations on the trail. We also promote programs and events within the community to create a welcoming environment for the hiking community including those that are hiking the entire trail (thru-hikers) and local hikers.
This event is a mixer/meeting for the 20+ local businesses that are Appalachian Trail Community Sponsors to thank them for their ongoing support, to welcome new members and to share programming and goals set for 2020.
