Dan Trigoboff is an award-winning writer, editor and college professor with more than 50 years experience in media and academia. A New Yorker, he began his career while earning a bachelor's degree at Boston University and continued to work in New England as a news and sports reporter.
Dr. Trigoboff moved to California in 1978 and focused on covering law and business, also earning a juris doctorate from the University of San Diego. He has been a staff reporter and editor at regional, national, and international newspapers and magazines in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
After covering television news for a decade at Broadcasting & Cable magazine and briefly working in TV news, he joined the faculty at Elon University to teach journalism and media studies. He later taught at Methodist University, and at North Carolina State University, where he earned his Ph.D. in Communication, Rhetoric and Digital Media. Dr. Trigoboff’s academic work has been presented at several universities and conferences, and in numerous books. He retired as professor emeritus at St. Augustine's University in 2024, and moved to Front Royal where he and his wife Debra, a retired nurse-practitioner, stay busy indulging their two grandsons.
