Description

Join us for a special presentation on Dark Skies with Torney Van Acker, Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection. On behalf of the RCRFA, Torney obtained a Dark Sky Park designation for the local Rappahannock County Park from the International Dark-Sky Association. It is the third park in Virginia to be so designated. The presentation will address the following

  • What are ‘dark skies’ and why are they important?
  • What is RLEP doing about it in Rappahannock County?
  • Examples of positive changes made
