ARE, with Valley Health, will offer Free Rapid HIV testing, which includes risk reduction counseling, to the community. The Alere Determine HIV 1/2 AG/AB Combo test is used to check a sample of blood for the presence of antibodies and antigens to HIV. The test itself takes 20 minutes and the results are given immediately. We do HIV testing on site and at different community venues. ARE offers Free Rapid HCV testing to the community. The OraQuick HCV Antibody Rapid test checks for the presence of HCV antibodies. The test itself takes 20 minutes and the results are given immediately.
