Program Description

Description

FOSL hosts this special fall art history lecture led by popular art history lecturer Ben Glenn. Many people are unaware that, in 1937, a wildly popular art exhibition organized by Nazi "cultural ministers" toured Germany.  Entitled "Degenerate Art," the exhibition pilloried numerous 20th-century artists whose works were deemed as having no merit as well as being "against the State."  As a result, many objects exhibited subsequently were destroyed and the artists forgotten. Registration will open September 29th. Be sure to sign up early for this riveting evening of history and art.Seats for Ben Glenn's popular lectures always fill up quickly.
