Program Description

Description

Virtual - Join us for a presentation from author Claire Griffin. Claire, a Kirkus Book of the Year author, spent 17 years researching her new historical novel A Rebellious Woman, which tells the life story of Belle Boyd. Claire’s research into Belle’s life and times included numerous visits to Front Royal and other locations in the Shenandoah Valley. The Civil War took place at a time when strict rules of etiquette and cumbersome clothing helped keep women under tight control. Belle was an exception! The presentation will take into account how her actions were especially scandalous when viewed in the context of her times.

The first 3 registrants will receive a signed copy of Claire's book!
